The authorities started collecting tolls from vehicles plying the Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga expressway on Friday. There was a massive gridlock at the toll plaza in the Dhaleshwari area from the morning till noon.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in March 2020 inaugurated the 54.7-km four-lane expressway built at a cost of Tk11,003 crore.
