A video and a photo went viral on social media on Sunday where a men was seen opening screws of the Padma Bridge while another was seen urinating.
People are agitated to see miscreants defying rules one day after the inauguration of Padma Bridge and demanded punishment for the accused.
On the first day, even after crossing the bridge, there was an uproar among the people.

Even though it is forbidden to stand or take pictures on the Padma bridge, the workers engaged in the security of the bridge have shown a little relaxation on the first day. Therefore, many people have the opportunity to stand on the bridge and take pictures.
However, by misusing this opportunity, the young man caused an unpleasant incident by making a TikTok video of him opening the screws of the Padma bridge.
On the other hand, pictures published on various IDs and pages show a man taking a picture on a motorcycle of another man urinating on the side of the Padma Bridge.
Bangladesh Bridge Authority Supervising Engineer Tofazzal Hossain said that the contracting authorities of the Padma Bridge have already been informed of the matter after the videos went viral.
Padma Bridge South Police Station Duty Officer told Dhaka Tribune that steps will be taken against the accused.
"It was not possible to control the crowd due to the rain," he said.
He added that the superintendents of Munshiganj and Shariatpur police have inspected the areas and the accused will be tracked using digital technology.
There is a law against public urination, under Section 92 of the Local Government (City Corporation) Act, 2009. Those who urinate on the streets could be prosecuted under this act.
The penalty for the infractions, which have not been specifically or clearly mentioned in the act, is a maximum fine of Tk5,000.
If such offenses are repeated, for every subsequent day, the offending party will be fined a maximum of Tk500 in addition to the base fine of Tk5,000.
