A special prayer and milad mahfil was organized on the occasion of the 46th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban on Sunday.
President Abdul Hamid participated in the milad and doa mahfil after Asr prayers.
Members of the president's family, secretaries to the president, military and civilian officials of Bangabhaban and other employees took part in the program.

After the milad, special prayers were offered seeking divine blessings for the martyrs who had been killed on August 15, 1975 along with Bangabandhu and members of Bangabandhu's family.
In the munajat the overall development and progress of the country was also sought.
Bangabhaban Jame Mosque Imam Maulana Saiful Kabir conducted the milad mahfil and munajat.
