A youth has been run over by a speeding car while riding his bicycle in Kuril Bishwa Road area of Dhaka.
The deceased was identified as Bipul Bishwas, 25, son of Moral Chandra Bishwas of Kaliganj upazila of Gazipur.
The accident took place at 9pm on Wednesday and passers-by took him to Dhaka Medical Hospital (DMCH) where the doctor on duty pronounced him dead at 10pm, confirmed DMCH police outpost OC MD Bacchu Mia.
The OC also said the body has been kept in the hospital morgue and Khilkhet police station has been informed about the matter.
One of the passers-by who rescued Bipul after the accident, Juboraj said he heard a loud bang and saw a car spinning out of control and moving toward Mohakhali.

He saw a man and his bicycle on the road. He was then rescued and taken to Kurmitola General Hospital. From there he was taken to the emergency unit of DMCH where the doctor pronounced him dead.
His elder brother Dilip Chandra Bishwas said, Bipul used to live with him beside the RAB Headquarters near Dhaka airport.
He used to work at a pharmacy in Banani and would travel from the airport area to Banani everyday on his bicycle.
