Passenger vessel services across Bangladesh have resumed after two days' suspension due to Cyclone Yaas.
The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) allowed the river transports to operate with cautions from Thursday.
The authorities, however, did not give permission to single engine-run vessels to operate, a press release of the Ministry of Shipping said.

On Tuesday afternoon, the BIWTA halted passenger vessel services in all inland river ports as the cyclone brewed in the Bay of Bengal.
The cyclonic storm, which unleashed havoc on India's Odisha on Wednesday, weakened into deep depression over north Odisha and adjourning Jharkhand, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said on Thursday.
The maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number three.
After a seven-week suspension due to the Covid-19 outbreak, launch operations resumed on Monday, before the services were shut again on Tuesday.
