‘My Sister’s Keeper’ holds its 3rd webinar

After two successful webinars, the third and last one was held to bring more awareness about domestic violence amongst the people of Bangladesh and all over the world

“My Sister’s Keeper” – a project working for the advancement and acceleration of women leaders globally – held its third and final webinar on March 20.

The webinar titled– “Embracing Independence with Basic Practical Life Skills” was organized on the digital platform zoom on March 20 at 8pm, read the press release issued on Saturday.

After two successful webinars, the third and last one was held to bring more awareness about domestic violence amongst the people of Bangladesh and all over the world.

Nilufer Ahmed Karim, gender and management consultant, and former president of Women’s Entrepreneur Association of Bangladesh, and Rowshan Ara, gender and human rights activist, and member and project director of Naripokkho, participated as discussants at the webinar.

Both the speakers focused on the importance of being financially independent and how practical life skills can be attained by the women who are victims of domestic violence while speaking at the webinar. The discussion included information regarding basic ideas of entrepreneurship, freelancing, and job skills.

Furthermore, they also talked about the importance of the financial independence of women and how the information can be easily accessible to women belonging to all socio-economic backgrounds.

My Sister’s Keeper project is running under the supervision of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and World Academy for the Future of Women, a US based non-profit organization working for the advancement and acceleration of women leaders globally and operating in China.
