The probe committee commissioned by the Home Ministry has submitted its report on the murder of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan in Cox's Bazar.
Additional Commissioner of Chittagong division, Md Mizanur Rahman, who led the probe committee, submitted the report to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal at the secretariat in Dhaka on Monday.
The minister said the report will not be disclosed right now as law enforcement agencies are investigating the murder case.
"If the court wants the report, we will submit it to them," he added.
The home minister also said action will be taken after going through the report.
The inquiry committee began its work on August 2 and was scheduled to submit its report within seven working days. However, the committee was granted several extensions to complete its investigation.
The probe body interviewed 68 people and visited various locations to determine the reason for the murder.
On September 2, the committee questioned Pradeep Kumar Das, suspended officer-in-charge of Teknaf police station and one of the prime accused in the murder case, at the Cox's Bazar District Jail Gate.
On July 31, retired army officer Sinha was killed in police firing at the Shamlapur police check post on Marine Drive in Teknaf's Baharchhara.
Sinha was on his way back to Nilima Resort in Himchhari after filming a video on Marishbunia hill in Teknaf.
His elder sister Sharmin Shahriar Ferdous filed a murder case with the Cox's Bazar Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on August 5.
