Bangladesh Betar to broadcast classes for primary students

The classes will be broadcast through Bangladesh Betar and 16 community radio stations simultaneously, from Sunday to Thursday between 4.05pm and 4.45pm

State-run radio station Bangladesh Betar is set to broadcast classes for primary students alongside Sangsad Bangladesh Television, as educational institutions remain closed due to Covid-19 pandemic.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossen will inaugurate the virtual lessons titled “Ghore Bose Shikhi” on August 12, an official release said on Monday.

The classes will be broadcast through Bangladesh Betar and 16 community radio stations simultaneously, from Sunday to Thursday between 4.05pm and 4.45pm. The students can join the classes through radio or mobile phone.

All educational institutions across the country have remained closed since March 17 in order to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus. The government has extended the closure of educational institutions till August 31.
