287 Bangladeshi nationals have left Dhaka on a special flight for Italy.
The Bangladeshi citizens were taken on a special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines which left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 12:15pm on Friday.
Tahera Khondoker, deputy general manager (public relations) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
She said all Bangladeshis residing in Italy have now been sent back there and they will soon join their respective jobs.
Some of them were stranded back in Bangladesh due to the coronavirus pandemic and some were sent back home to Bangladesh in March, when Italy recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases in Europe.
