A sixty-year-old hotelier has died in a road accident in Demra.
Babul Patwari, who lived in Dhaka's Madartek neighbourhood, was hit by a bus while crossing the street around 7am on Wednesday, Demra police Sub-Inspector Monir Hossain said.
The victim's brother and police took Babul to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead around 8:30am.
Although police managed to seize the vehicle, the driver and his assistants fled the scene.
