Four people, including two women, were killed in a head-on collision between an Asian University bus and a laguna in the Nawab-er-Bagh area of Diabari, Mirpur Beribadh, on Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred around 7:38am within the jurisdiction of Shah Ali police station, said Talha Bin Jasim, media officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
A unit from Kalyanpur Fire Station rushed to the scene after receiving the report and began rescue operations.
According to the Fire Service, the collision took place around 7:30am on Nawab-er-Bagh Road when a speeding passenger bus hit the laguna coming from the opposite direction, killing four people — two men and two women.
No other injuries were reported.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after the accident and took steps to restore normal traffic movement.
