Biman Bangladesh is increasing the number of domestic flights because of growing customer demand related to an increase in internal tourism, said affiliated authorities.
In a press release, Biman confirmed that according to the summer flight schedule starting from March 25, Biman will operate 10 flights instead of seven on the Dhaka-Cox's Bazar route.
Besides the daily Boeing flight, Biman will start operating one extra flight per day on Saturday, Monday, and Thursday from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar. The lowest airfare has been kept at Tk4,000.
On the Dhaka-Chittagong route, Biman will fly 32 flights instead of 30 flights weekly. Similarly, one extra flight will be added to the seven existing weekly flights on the Dhaka-Jessore route and two existing weekly flights from Dhaka to Barisal.
Other than that, Biman will fly 34 flights instead of 31 from Dhaka to Sylhet.
Three flights will be operated on the Dhaka-Cox's Bazar route per week, according to the summer schedule. The one-way fare on the Dhaka-Cox's Bazar flight has been set at Tk1,500.
On the other hand, no changes have been brought to the number of flights on the Dhaka-Rajshahi and Dhaka-Syedpur routes. This article was first published on banglatribune.com
