Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister AKM Shahjahan Kamal has said some of the passengers of the ill-fated US-Bangla Airlines were burnt so badly one could not identify them by looking at their faces.
“I could recognise only eight of the passengers by seeing their faces. The other passengers were burnt so badly that recognizing them by looking at their faces nearly impossible,” he told reporters on Friday, after visiting the victims at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The minister pledged support from the government to families of those killed and injured in the crash.
On Monday, the US-Bangla Airlines flight which flew from Dhaka to Kathmandu carrying 67 passengers and four crew members, crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in the capital of Himalayan country of Nepal, leaving 49 people, including 26 Bangladeshis, dead.

Of the dead, 22 are Nepalese and one is Chinese.
“All the Bangladeshi victims will get reparations as per the law. We urged the Nepali prime minister, home minister and army chief to ensure the quick return of the Bangladeshis,” Shahjahan said.This article was first published on banglatribune.com
