Smooth Eid journey on Dhaka-Chittagong highway

Passengers on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway enjoyed a comfortable Eid journey without traffic congestion.

The 105km stretch through Comilla district, from Meghna Gumti Bridge toll plaza to Chouddagram Padua point, remained clear of tailbacks, according to Highway Police.

Sub-inspector Anwar Hossain of Daudkandi Highway Police confirmed that vehicles were moving smoothly.

Bus stands in areas like Gouripur, Iliotganj, Madhaiya, Chandina, Nimsar, Cumilla Cantonment, Alekharchar, Padua Bazar, Suagonj, Mia Bazar, and Chouddagram saw a higher volume of vehicles, particularly private ones, moving slowly but steadily.
