Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the summit, Hasina will hold meetings with her Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, Thursday afternoon.The 25th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2018 kicked off in London on Thursday with the theme "Towards a Common Future.”
Queen Elizabeth ll formally inaugurated the two-day summit at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
British Prime Minister Teresa May and Commonwealth Secretary General Patricia Scotland and Prime Minister of Malta and outgoing chair Joseph Muscat also spoke at the inaugural session.
Teresa May and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the heads of governments of 51 other countries attended the function.
