Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party were declared the winners of the 30th edition of the National Handball Tournament after finalist Police side walked out of the venue during the game at Shaheed Captain Mansur Ali Stadium in Dhaka Thursday.
The final was hanging in the balance on 22-points each when Police players protested a decision from the referee and walked out of the field, and not to return again.
Ansar were named champions in accordance with the bylaws of the tournament.
Earlier in the third place decider at the same venue, Chapainawabganj edged Kushtia 35-33.
