GM Ziaur finishes 50th in Delhi

Ziaur’s son Tahsin Tajwar Zia finished 138th with 5.5 points, Mohammad Zishan Rahman Maleq ended 308th with three points while Gias Uddin Ahmed became 322nd with 2.5 points

Grandmaster Ziaur Rahman became 50th with 6.5 points and International Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman emerged 82nd with six points in the 18th Delhi International GM Chess Tournament in New Delhi, India. 

Ziaur’s son Tahsin Tajwar Zia finished 138th with 5.5 points, Mohammad Zishan Rahman Maleq ended 308th with three points while Gias Uddin Ahmed became 322nd with 2.5 points. 

The 10th and final round games were held Thursday morning. 

In the last round, Ziaur beat VS Raahul of India, Fahad drew with Sri Sai Baswanth of India, Tahsin beat Parwar Harshit of India. 

A total of 353 players from 29 countries, including 37 GMs, three Women’s GMs, 22 IMs and three Women’s IMs participated in the event.
