Bangladesh became the champion in the 7th South Asia Hakukai Karate Championship that was held in Meerut, India and organised by the All India Karate Association.
Bangladesh won a total of 10 medals including eight golds, one silver and as many bronze in the two-day long event. India finished runners-up while Nepal became third out of eight countries from south Asia.
Ten players from Bangladesh took part in the event and will return home on Wednesday.
