Mehdi finishes 13th in Lake City Chess

International Master Abu Sufian Shakil finished 21st with seven points, GM Ziaur Rahman emerged 27th with 6.5 points, Tahsin Tajwar Zia became 53rd, Nayem Haque ended 63rd and Mohammad Zahid Chowdhury finished 65th with six points each

Bangladesh Fide Master Mehdi Hasan finished 13th in the 1st Lake City International Open Grandmaster Chess Tournament at Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. 

Mehdi earned 7.5 points after the 10th round and was tied for fifth place with seven other players. 

In tie-breaking system, Mehdi became 13th.

In the last round, Mehdi beat IM Eraschenko Denis of Russia, Shakil defeated Arun Rathee of India, Ziaur drew with Aradhya Garg of India, Tahsin beat Lad Mandar Pradip of India, Nayem defeated Gourab Nigam of India and Zahid beat Puneet Manchanda of India.
