Unbeaten Murad clinches Independence Day Chess

Mohammad Murad Hossain emerged as the unbeaten champion in the Independence Day Chess Competition 2018. Murad finished with 7.5 points after round right, ahead of second placed Moudud Ahmed and Giasuddin Mithu, who ended third. Both Moudud and Mithu had equal 6.5 points but the former finished second following the tie-break. Nasim al Islam finished fourth with 5.5 points while the in the U-16 category, Abtahi Akbar was adjudged the best player.
