Rajshahi Stars FC suffered a fighting 2-1 defeat to hosts Sabah FA of Malaysia in their second Group A match of the AFC Women's Champions League 2026/27 preliminary stage at Likas Stadium in Malaysia on Thursday.
With this consecutive defeat, Rajshahi Stars were eliminated from the preliminary stage after losing both of their matches.
In the day's match, Sabah forward Hekima Starks broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute. She doubled the lead in the 81st minute, scoring her second goal of the match.
Rajshahi substitute forward Mst Sultana reduced the deficit in the 87th minute with a lone goal, but the visitors could not find an equaliser.
Rajshahi Stars will play their final group match against Rovers FC of Guam on Sunday.
Earlier, Rajshahi Stars suffered a 4-0 defeat to India's East Bengal FC in their opening group match.
