The Bangladesh sports arena Tuesday said their final goodbye to Zakaria Pintu, the legendary captain of the Swadhin Bangla Football Team, showing solemn love and respect.
The Bangladesh football great passed away at a city hospital Monday after a long battle with multiple illnesses at the age of 81.
The first namaz-e-janaza was held Tuesday at his beloved club Mohammedan Sporting Club premises where many federations, associations and organizations bid their final farewell to this valiant freedom fighter.
Pintu's body was placed on a platform at the club office.

Wreaths were then placed on his coffin by various clubs, federations, olympic association and former players.
His second namaz-e-janaza took place at Bangladesh Football Federation House where the BFF executive committee paid heartfelt tribute to the former Bangladesh captain, coach and manager.
Pintu was born in Naogaon on January 1, 1943 and turned out for both the Pakistan national football team and the East Pakistan football team, leading the latter on numerous occasions.
In domestic football, Pintu represented Mohammedan, one of the most popular clubs in Bangladesh, for 14 years.
In recognition of his contribution to the country's football, he was conferred with the Independence Award in 1995 and the National Sports Award in 1978.
