A total of 33 Bangladesh women footballers have been called up to the residential camp, and asked to report to coach Golam Rabbani Choton Thursday evening in Dhaka, ahead of the qualifiers of the AFC U-20 Championship 2022 and AFC U-17 Championship 2022.

With the women’s football league getting suspended in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the booters will return to competitive action through the two age-level AFC tournaments next year.

The U-20 AFC Qualifiers will be held from March 13-21 while the U-17 AFC Qualifiers will take place from April 3-11.

Upon arriving at the camp that will follow all the Covid-19 health protocols and safety procedures, the footballers have to submit their Covid-19 test results undertaken from their respective districts, before starting training Saturday.

Choton expressed hope that all the players would test Covid-19 negative and hinted that they may extend the number of footballers in the camp in near future.
