Bangladesh U-16 women's football team will face defending champion North Korea U-16 side in their opening match of the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship 2017 at Chonburi Stadium in Thailand on September 11 this year.
The tournament draw was held on Friday where Bangladesh were placed in a tough Group B alongside Japan, Australia and North Korea while Thailand, China, South Korea and Laos make up Group A.
Bangladesh will take on runners-up side of the previous edition, Japan, in their second game at IPE Stadium in Chonburi on September 14 before playing against Australia in their last group stage match at the same venue on September 17.
The top two finishers from each group will advance to the semi-finals. The final will be held on September 23.
