Bangladesh girls concluded their 2019 AFC U-16 Championship Qualifiers second round Group B campaign with a 3-0 defeat against China Sunday at Mandalarthiri Stadium in Mandalay, Myanmar.
In the process, the girls in red and green finished second in the group, and will now turn their attention to the final round of the tournament, scheduled to be hosted by Thailand in September.
The Chinese girls went ahead in the 28th minute through Dai Xinyao after mistake in communication by the Bangladesh defenders and goalkeeper.
China doubled their lead in the 46th minute through Shao Ziqin and completed their scoring in the 53rd minute through Wang Xinling.
In the other Group B match, host Myanmar defeated Philippines 3-0.

In their first two matches, Bangladesh beat Philippines and Myanmar 10-0 and 1-0 respectively to advance to the eight-team final round.
China finished top with maximum nine points while Bangladesh are second with six points.
Myanmar and Philippines ended third and fourth respectively with three and zero points respectively.
After the game, Bangladesh forward Anuching Mogini lamented the absence of Shaheda and Shamsunnahar due to injury.
She said, “Two of our most important players couldn’t play. But even in their absence, we fought well. Actually we conceded the goals owing to our own mistakes, hence we couldn’t make a comeback.”

Bangladesh and China will join Thailand, North Korea, South Korea and Japan.
The champion and runners up side of Group A will fill the remaining two berths.
Group A comprises Australia, host Laos, Vietnam and Iran.
The Group A matches will take place from Sunday to Thursday.
Earlier, Bangladesh qualified for the second round after finishing as Group F champion in the first round.
