Update : 19 Apr 2014, 05:14 PM

Bangladesh National Cricket Academy head coach Richard McInnes cutting his association has made the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) think over to appoint a ‘specialist’ coach for the vacant post, informed BCB’s development committee chairman Khaled Mahmud yesterday.

“We’ll give priority to someone from the subcontinent. At the moment, we’ve some local coaches in the pipeline. Along with that, we kept some names from the subcontinent in the probable list,” said Mahmud yesterday.

“Actually, there have been works on development in the past years but the output was never great. We’re planning to shuffle those plans with proper decoration so that we get more positive result from it,” he said. Mahmud cited that the previous calendar as not adequate and his first task now is to make a proper calendar so that they could kick-start the tournaments in due time and finish them accordingly.
