Bangladesh breathed life into their Under-19 Cricket World Cup campaign with a six-wicket win over Ireland in Bloemfontein Monday.
Asked to bat first, the Irish posted 235 runs losing eight wickets riding on Kian Hilton’s 113-ball 90, studded with 11 fours and a six.
Maruf Mridha and Sheikh Parvez Jibon bagged two wickets each for the young Tigers.
In reply, the youngsters in red and green reached the destination in 46.5 overs with contributions from Ashiqur Rahman Shibli (44), Adil bin Siddik (36), Ahrar Amin (45*) and Mohammad Shihab James (55*).
Both Bangladesh and Ireland have two points each from as many matches while India boast the same number of points having played a game less.
Bangladesh, who lost to neighbors India by 84 runs in their opening Group A clash last Saturday, will take on bottom side the USA this Friday.
