Abahani Limited and Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited maintained their winning run, while Old DOHS picked up their first victory of the ongoing Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League Twenty20 at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium Saturday.
DOHS registered their first win of the season in a rain-affected game against Partex Sporting Club.
Due to heavy rain in the morning, the game was curtailed to 15-over a side, and DOHS dominated by winning the affair by 10 wickets.
Partex were asked to bat first and the DOHS bowlers ruled the roost by restricting the opposition to a below-par score.
For the loss of four wickets, Partex only managed to put up 77 runs after losing opener Hasanuzzaman for a duck in the very first over.
Partex captain Tasamul Haque scored the team-high 25-ball 18 as the side failed to put up competition with the bat.
Later, an unbeaten opening stand between Anisul Islam Emon and Rakin Ahmed guided DOHS to victory with 21 balls to spare.
Anisul scored 33 off as many deliveries, while Rakin added 43 to the board, off 36 balls, involving half a dozen boundaries.
