Bangladesh have scored 105 runs losing four wickets after 36 overs at stumps on day two during their first innings of the second Test against the West Indies in Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium Friday.
Mishfiqur Rahim is batting on 27 while Mohammad Mithun is unbeaten on 6 at stumps.
Tigers lost Soumya Sarkar and Nazmul Hossain Shanto within the first three overs of their first innings .
Opener Soumya departed for nought after playing four balls as he was caught at short mid wicket by Kyle Mayers off the bowling of Shannon Gabriel in the first over.
No 3 batsman Shanto also got out soon in the third over after scoring four runs off two deliveries; Gabriel again bagging the wicket after Nkrumah Bonner took the catch at gully.
Later captain Mominul Haque also got out scoring 21 in the last ball of 15th over. And in the very next over Tamim also returned to pavilion after scoring 44.
Earlier, West Indies scored 409 losing all wickets from 142.2 overs in their first innings on day two.
Mehedi Hasan Miraz brought the much needed breakthrough in the morning session as Bonner was caught at leg slip by Mohammad Mithun.

Later Joshua Da Silva made 92 while Alzarri Joseph hit a counter-attacking 82 but both missed out on well deserved centuries like Bonner.
Abu Jayed Rahi and Taijul Islam picked up four wickets each for Bangladesh.
The Windies resumed the day on 223/5, and added a further 186 for the loss of their remaining five wickets.
