Prime Bank Cricket Club registered their fifth win of the season, after defeating Uttara Sporting Club by 57 runs during a rain-curtailed match in Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Prime Bank posted 230 runs losing seven wickets after batting first.

Rain intervened in the 23rd over and the match was reduced to 38 overs-a-side.

They lost opener Zakir Hasan early, but captain Anamul Haque and No 3 batsman Abhimanyu Easwaran formed a 78-run partnership for the second wicket before the in-form Anamul got out scoring 36.

In the very next over, Easwaran also got out scoring 35.

But middle-order batsmen Al-Amin and Salman Hossain formed a 90-run stand to help Prime Bank to a competitive total in the end.

Al-Amin was brilliant as the right-hander scored 60 off just 47 balls with five fours and two sixes.

Anisul Islam Emon took three wickets, while Asaduzzaman Payel bagged two wickets.

In reply, Uttara started impressively as the opening batsmen Tanzid Hasan and Anisul Islam scored 64 runs in 9.4 overs.

Tanzid got out in the fifth ball of the 10th over and since then, Uttara lost regular wickets and eventually managed to score 182 losing eight wickets in 38 overs.

Experienced left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak notched four wickets conceding just 15 runs in eight overs, and achieved yet another milestone in his illustrious domestic career.

The veteran spinner became the first ever Bangladeshi to cross the 400-wicket milestone in List A cricket.

Razzak was adjudged man-of-the-match.
