South Zone batsmen Raqibul Hasan and Tushar Imran scored half-centuries to put up a par total on board against North Zone during day one in the third round of the Bangladesh Cricket League on Wednesday.
Raqibul Hasan got to his 27th first-class fifty while Tushar Imran registered his 58th to edge South Zone to 280 for nine at stumps on day one against North Zone at Chittagong.
South Zone were sent to bat first after losing the toss and the start was shaky as they lost opener Shahriar Nafees with just 21 runs on the board. But this was later recovered as Raqibul and Tushar added 79 and 62 runs respectively to the tally.
Spinner Sunzamul Islam and pacer Ebadat Hossain picked four and two wickets respectively for North Zone.
