Bangladesh A continued their supremacy over their Ireland counterpart as the junior Tigers took a 2-0 lead in the five-match one-day series following their eight-wicket win in the third game in Cox’s Bazar Tuesday.
Batting first, the Irish were skittled out for just 103 in 35.4 overs with captain Andrew Balbirnie top-scoring with a 90-ball 52, featuring three fours and a six.
It was a dominant performance from the home side at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium as eight of the batsmen from the visiting side were dismissed for single digit scores.
Seamer and player of the match Abu Haider Rony bagged three wickets while spinners Tanbir Hayder and Sanjamul Islam picked up two each.
In reply, the home side romped home in 23 overs with skipper Nazmul Hossain Shanto scoring the highest unbeaten 41 off 38 balls, composed with seven boundaries. No 4 batsman Al Amin was not out on a 23-ball 14 alongside Nazmul.
