Popular celebrity couple Tahsan – Mithila, who have announced their divorce on July 20, are back in their fields. After a not-so-long hiatus, both of them were seen to return to work.
The announcement of their divorce took the internet by storm, creating endless debates on various social media outlets. As a result, both the artists disconnected themselves from media until last Thursday, when Tahsan, the singer – actor, was seen performing in a concert titled “Love in Dhaka” at Bashundhara Convention City.
Mithila was seen busy shooting a telefilm named Batch-27: The Last Page at Hazarat Shahjalal International Airport on the same day. Directed by Mizanur Rahman, the telefilm also features actor Apurbo and Mehzabien. According to sources, Batch-27: The Last Page takes the story of Batch-27, a favoured TV drama which has been aired during last Eid, onwards. The telefilm is slated to be aired on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-adha on NTV.
The celebrity couple, who tied the knot in 2006, disclosed the news of their divorce from Tahsan’s official Facebook page, saying, “It is with heavy hearts that we would like to jointly announce that we are getting divorced. After several months of trying to reconcile our differences, we have decided that we would rather go separate ways than be in a relationship out of social pressure. We realize that this probably comes as a shock to a lot of you and we wholeheartedly apologise about that.”
“We have always conducted our relationship with dignity and grace, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner. We hope you will all treat us both with kindness during this difficult phase of our lives.”
