The tagline of Aniruddha Roychowdhury’s film is ‘Blood ties or love ties’.

Jaya Ahsan is as much a Dhaka native as she is a Kolkata native. There are even talks that she works more in Kolkata films than in the country. Although Jaya has countered these claims. She has said many times that she wants to work in Bangladeshi films, but her skills are not being used properly here.

However, two films starring her have been released this Eid. Raihan Rafi's 'Taandob' and Tanim Noor's 'Utshob'. Among the six movies released this Eid, two of Jaya's movies are still ahead. Both movies are exceptional, one is action and the other is family. Both movies are running ‘housefull’, even since Eid.

Along with these, Ashfaq Nipun's talked-about web series 'Jimmi' was released as an Eid bonus. Before that, Piplu R Khan's 'Jaya Ar Sharmin' was released on May 16. This film was shot during the pandemic.

A few days ago, the actress had announced that she has four films waiting to be released in India. Among them, the film 'Dear Maa' will be released on July 18. Jaya herself announced the news on social media.

Sharing the poster of the film on her Facebook wall on June 17, she wrote, “Dear Maa’ is coming on July 18. Blood ties or love ties?”

The tagline of Aniruddha Roychowdhury’s film is ‘Blood ties or love ties’.

Jaya had earlier acted in the Hindi film ‘Karak Singh’ directed by Aniruddha. There, she shared the screen with actors like Pankaj Tripathi.

About ‘Dear Maa’, Jaya had earlier told the media, ‘It is a story of relationships. Tony Da tells the story of psychological conflict, it is one such story. Mother, mother’s child, relationship, family… the film will move forward with these. My character in the film is also a mother. In other words, I will be playing a mother’s role for the first time.’

The film also stars Saswata Chatterjee, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Chatterjee, Malayalam actress Padmapriya Janakiraman.

Another good news for Jaya fans. After almost a year, the actress has joined the shooting of a new movie in Tollygunge, Kolkata. The shooting of Kaushik Ganguly's movie 'Ajo Ardhangini' started in Kolkata on June 14 where Jaya was present. Like the superhit first part of this movie, Kaushik Sen and Churni Ganguly will act with Jaya this time as well.
