Diamond World Managing Director Dilip Kumar Agarwala has been sent to jail after completing his remand in an attempted murder case over the shooting of a student on the day Sheikh Hasina’s government fell in August 2024.
Investigation officer SI Md Suman Mia of Uttara West Police Station produced Dilip before the court on Tuesday after the remand and sought an order to keep him in jail.
Following the hearing, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Zakir Hossain of Dhaka ordered his detention in jail.
SI Helal Uddin of the prosecution division confirmed the matter.
