To ease the cinema hall crisis, some local cultural activists took the initiative to screen the movie 'Taandob' by renting the hall of the Zilla Parishad Community Center in Auliabad area of Kalihati upazila of Tangail. The movie was running housefull since Eid. But the screening was interrupted by a protest under the banner of Parki Union Ulama Parishad. They demanded to stop the screening of the movie 'Taandob'. Then, citing insecurity, the authorities stopped the screening of the movie from Tuesday, June 10.
There was a huge protest on Facebook about the matter. Questions were raised about the surprising silence of the state on these issues. The echo of which was found in the voice of producer and revolutionary voice Ashfaque Nipun in strong language. He took the source of this incident and demanded that the chief advisor should atone for this incident.
In his words, "Immediately arrange for the screening of 'Taandob' in Kalihati, make any tourist center, public place risk-free and first of all stop the mob's rise. This should be your main task for the next 10 months as an atonement for not being able to do this in the last 10 months."
Posing questions at the Chief Advisor, Ashfaque Nipun said, "Cinema screening is stopped in Kalihati in Tangail, tourist centers are closed in Sylhet and you (Chief Advisor) are still lying about Chittagong port? When will you announce such strict resistance regarding mob control?"
'Taandob', starring Shakib Khan and directed by Raihan Rafi, has been running in most cinema halls in the country since Eid day.
