Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury’s “Boli” is coming to theatres across Bangladesh on February 7.
“Boli” garnered immense praise from international critics and has earned a place in the Asian Film Archive. The film represented Bangladesh in the Best International Feature Film category at the 97th Academy Awards.
It also won the prestigious New Currents Award at the 28th Busan International Film Festival.
The film stars Nasir Uddin Khan in the lead role, along with Priyam Archi, AKM Itmam, and Angel Noor.
The film’s producer Piplu R Khan shared "Initially, we planned to release the film on February 14. However, after discussing it with the director and due to several reasons, we decided to move it up. Now, releasing it this weekend seems like a better option. Though time is short, we're moving forward with the planned schedule."
Director Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury told Prothom Alo "We are releasing the film on Friday. The distributor and theatre owners have agreed to it, and we're wrapping up the final touches accordingly."
