For the past 10 years, Boiyer Jahaj has been a leviathan in the online book community. They have been collecting the western world's aesthetic books and related collectibles directly from Europe at cheap prices and delivering them to the readers and collectors of the country.
Due to this online presence, a significant part of artists, writers, readers and collectors from all over the country have joined the Boiyer Jahaj network. As a result, they are hosting an exhibition titled "Paradise and papers: let there be books" at the art gallery of Bishwo Shahitto Kendro.
Books are not just textual material. A book's unique character is created by a variety of exclusive printings and bindings, special editions printed for collectors, signatures of the author, etc. Such books or products are regularly traded in western countries.
This exhibition will feature a number of rare, colorful and special edition books. Besides, there will be collectible masks from different continents, bronze replica sculptures, various chess boards, rare Bengali books, magazines and other things. In addition to viewing the exhibition, there will also be limited purchase opportunities.
The event will take place from June 7 to June 8, from 3 pm to 9 pm on June 7 and from 10 am to 9 pm on June 8.
