“Filmfare Awards Bangla 2024” is expected to be held at the luxury Hotel, ITC Royal Bengal on March 29. Alongside the Tollywood stars, some of Bangladesh’s superstars have also been nominated, including Jaya Ahsan, Aupee Karim, Sohel Mondal, Tasnia Farin and vocalist Mahtim Shakib.
Jaya Ahsan has been nominated in two categories Best actor in a leading role(female) for “Dawshom Awbotaar” and Best actor in a supporting role(female) for “Ardhangini”.
Aupee karim was nominated in Best Actress (critics) for her role in Mayar Jonjal. And sohel Mondal was also nominated in Best Actor in a Supporting Role(male). Tasnia Farin also received nomination in Best Debut (female) for her role “Aaro Ek Prithibi”. And Mahitim Shakib in Best Playback Singer (male) for “Tumi Jantei Paronaa” in the movie “Cheeni 2”.
Jaya Ahsan faces major competition in her categories, alongside side Tollywood powerhouse Koel Mallick and Swastika Mukherjee. She will also have to compete with Sranbanti Chatterjee Aparajita Adhya.
Jaya isn’t the only one facing major competition, Sohel has to compete with Jisshu Sengupta and Kaushik Ganguly. Mahitim Shakib faces of against Arijit Singh and Anupam Roy. Which considering his age has landed himself among some of the very best.
