Bangladeshi popular actor Jaya Ahsan won the Best Actress award at Kolkata for her performance in director Atanu Ghosh's "Binisutoy."
The award is annually presented by West Bengal Film Journalists Association (WBFJA).
Notable actor Prosenjit Chatteejee, who starred opposite Jaya Ahsan in the 2019 film "Robibaar," presented the award to her at the "WBFJA Cinemar Somabarton" ceremony.
"Honored and overwhelmed to receive the Best Actress award at prestigious WBFJA Cinemar Somabarton for "Binisutoy"," Jaya wrote on Instagram.
"Sincere thanks to the Jury for honouring me with this prestigious award and thanks to Atanu Da and the whole team of "Binisutoy" for trusting me and my audience for all the love."
The film bagged three other awards in the Best film (critic), Best Actor ( Ritwick Chakraborty) and Best Director (Atanu Ghosh) categories.
