National Award winning film actress Nipun Akter in a recent Facebook post lashed out at Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan, asking him to show proper respect to other artists.
The post came as a reaction to a TV interview of Shakib gave on Sunday. Nipun took offence at Shakib’s statement that Bangladeshi film actresses are not educated. “Only Bubly is educated and qualified! Shakib Khan, you are singing the praises of Bubly even more than you do of your wife. Well, you may say whatever you like to make Bubly happy but you have to speak respectfully about other artists when you are speaking to the media,” Nipun wrote.
Nipun’s post also alleges that Shakib Khan forgot that 11 years ago he could not fill out embarkation/disembarkation form at airports. “What is your educational qualification? What is your family background? You have probably forgotten what you used to be like 11 years ago. You used to respond to all questions asked in English by immigration officers with ‘yes/no’ without understanding what the question was,” wrote Nipun.
She went on to say that Shakib Khan has been disrespectful to senior actors. “I would like to remind you that you made Razzak uncle wait from morning to evening at the set. Even then you didn’t eventually come. You have insulted countless others,” Nipun’s post read.
She asked him to disengage from doing “dirty politics.”
