Goopy Bagha Productions Limited successfully launched an online concert to feature independent musicians and bands of the local music scene.
A press release from the media company reads, "Despite having talent, it seems like new artists can only find fame if they cover popular songs of other prominent bands. As a result, original releases are becoming rare these days. However, behind the scenes, there are a few independent artists who are making their own music. We have decided to provide these talented original artists a platform."
Titled 'Agun Pakhir Gaan,' the concert featured Navneeta Hridi, Sabbir Hasan Joy, Abantor, Ganje Fereshta & Pseudos on a Wrong Route.
The first session was held on January 30-31. Prominent artist Satyaki Banerjee and band 'Borno Anannya', singers Arko Mukhaerjee and Sahana Bajpaie attended the concert from India. Bangladeshi singer Ahmed Hasan Sunny also joined the event.
