Hollywood’s lust for keeping franchises alive is legendary to say the least. These days, the industry is investing in film projects and TV shows that go behind the scenes of era-defining films – a recent example being Paramount’s upcoming mini-series titled The Offer.
The ten-episode series will explore the making of Francis Ford Coppola‘s iconic The Godfather trilogy with Armie Hammer in the role of film producer Al Ruddy.

With Jake Gyllenhaal and Oscar Isaac set to play two Hollywood producers, a film about the making of The Godfather is already underway, joining the latest trend of releasing ‘making-of’ films.
Similarly, Ben Affleck, who made a stellar comeback to acting in 2020 sports drama The Way Back , will be returning to the director’s chair with a film about the making of Roman Polanski‘s Chinatown.
