Aupee Karim starrer Debris of Desire (Mayar Jonjal) was officially selected at the 42nd Moscow International Film Festival in the Films around the World category.
It premiered on Wednesday, October 6, and will be screened for a second time on the concluding day of the festival, October 8.
Josim Ahmed, producer of Debris of Desire, said: “Hundreds of films are submitted each year to the Goa Film Bazaar. Only 20 or so are recommended to international distributors, sales agents and others. Our film was one of them, recommended as a work-in-progress project. Moscow festival organizers have seen our film there. So we did not have to directly submit our film to them.”
