RTV launched a new contest titled Torun Nirmatar Notun Golpo in an attempt to encourage young, promising directors.
The news was announced at a press conference held on September 9 at 5pm.
The conference began with a moment’s silence to mourn the recently deceased veteran Bangladeshi actor KS Firoz.
The CEO of Bengal Media Corporation Limited (Rtv) Ashik Rahman said: “Our channel has always encouraged new talent. We would be happy if we can find even ten new directors, and will consider this contest a great success. To nurture our young makers, we are launching this contest so that their talents can find an ideal platform.”
Dramas, directed by the selected candidates will be aired on the channel, and according to votes from viewers, will be ranked later.
