Rome’s Karawan Fest to open with Kingdom of Clay Subjects

Bangladeshi feature film Kingdom of Clay Subjects, directed by Bijon Imtiaz, has been selected as the opening film at the sixth edition of Karawan Fest, a film festival in Rome, Italy, to be held from June 6 to 11. According to a source, the opening event of the festival will be entirely dedicated to Bangladesh, with the screening of Kingdom of Clay Subjects and performances by Bangladeshi artistes. Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s Television will also be screened at the Karawan Fest. Karawan Fest is one of the first film festivals which is dedicated to the films with the theme of immigration, integration and intermingling of colours, narrated in a non-dramatic way. The film’s creative producer, Arifur Rahman, will be present on the occasion of the film’s European premier. The 88-minute-long film, which is yet to be released in Bangladesh, casts Anindo, Sheuli, Reekita Nondine Shimu, Jayanta Chattopadhyay, Rokeya Prachy, M A Shakil, Chinmoyee Gupta, Iqbal Hossain, Abdullah Rana, Ramiz Raju and Kochi Khondokar.
