Ariana Grande has promised to return to Manchester to make it up to the victims of the terror attack and to “have a benefit concert in honour of and to raise money for the victims and their family.”
However, it seems her reunion with the mourning city is approaching even sooner than expected. It is reported that the popstar could be staging her brave return as soon as next week, as plans are already finalised to hold a benefit concert.
TMZ reported, a massive gig will be held at Manchester on June 4, headlined by Ariana and some of her big celebrity stars.
As revealed, Ariana along with her manager Scooter Braun, who also manages Justin Bieber, is finalising their plans alongside booking other performers to join the line-up.
Earlier, Ariana Grande announced her intentions in an uplifting letter posted online that called on her fans to have courage following the attacks. She spoke her mind with a deep sense of sorrow for those lost and the families who are mourning their loved ones following the heinous attack.
She posted on Twitter, “I don’t want to go the rest of the year without being able to see and hold and uplift my fans, the same way they continue to uplift me.”
Her letter reads further, “When you look into the audience at my shows, you see a beautiful, diverse, pure, happy crowd. Thousands of people, incredibly different, all there for the same reason, music. Music is something that everyone on Earth can share. Music is meant to heal us, to bring us together, to make us happy. So that is what it will continue to do for us.”
She added, “From the day we started putting the Dangerous Woman Tour together, I said that this show, more than anything else, was intended to be a safe space for my fans.”
Just after posting the letter, she shared a link to a local fundraiser established by the Manchester Evening News and that effort had already raised around £1.7 million.
A total of 22 people, including children, were killed on May 22 when a suicide bomber blasted a bomb just outside of a concert Grande had just finished in Manchester.
