Protests have spread across the US this week following the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis by a white police officer. Ariana Grande, Timothee Chalamet, Jamie Foxx, John Cusack,

and many more celebrities are taking to the streets, joining protests against racism and police brutality in America.

Singer Ariana Grande attended the protests and wrote on social media about the insufficient coverage mainstream media is giving to these protests.

"Hours and miles of peaceful protesting yesterday that got little to no coverage. All throughout beverly hills and West Hollywood we chanted, people beeped and cheered along. We were passionate, we were loud, we were loving. Cover this too please. #BLACKLIVESMATTER"

Call Me By Your Name star Timothee Chalamet joined the Santa Monica protest. The actor brought with him a poster bearing the names of Floyd, Trayvon Martin, Breonna Taylor, and other victims of police brutality.

John Cusack joined the Chicago protests where the police hit his vehicle.

"Cops didn’t like me filming the burning car so they came at me with batons.  Hitting my bike," the actor wrote.

At a Minneapolis press conference on May 29, actor Jamie Foxx told to the crowd: "I think that what you saw on television, to watch this man plead for his life. As I sit with my two daughters, my nephews .. what it does is, it over-complicates everything as a black man trying to tell his son or his daughter how to function in life. Even the things that we've taught them don't seem to work."

Singer Nick Cannon was also on location in Minneapolis, taking to Instagram with a photo holding a poster that reads "Justice for Floyd.
