The Russo brothers confirmed that they are writing Extraction 2 in an interview to the Deadline. Their production company, AGBO films, shared the news on social media.

“The deal is closed for me to write Extraction 2, and we are in the formative stages of what the story can be,” Joe Russo told Deadline. “We’re not committing yet to whether that story goes forward, or backward in time. We left a big loose ending that leaves question marks for the audience.”
Chris Hemsworth is yet to sign up, but with his recent statement that he'd be happy to jump back in the saddle, we can be optimistic that Rake won't let us down. Director Sam Hargrave is also expected to return.
Extraction was released on Netflix on April 24 to kick start the Summer while theatres remain closed amid lockdown. The film is projected to break the platform's record as the biggest premiere of all time.
