Bangladeshi cinema's popular comedic actor, Anisur Rahman Anis, passed away at the age of 78 on Sunday night. He was 78.
Anis had a stroke on Monday night at his own house, which is located on Abhaydas Lane of Dhaka's Tikatuli. Bangladesh Film Artistes Association's President Misha Sawdagar confirmed Anis's death to the media.
Misha said: "We are deeply saddened by the passing of comedic actor Anis."
Sources from Anis's family informed reporters that the Namaz-e-Janaza will take place in Tikatuli mosque on Monday, and Anis will be laid to eternal rest at Ballabpur village of Feni's Chagolnaiyya.
Anis began acting in films in 1964. He had made cinema-lovers laugh through four decades of his acting career.
